We spent a month in this beautiful area of Northern California. HWY 101 has spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. This highway has better air, and beautiful and natural surroundings with over looking cliffs. The road narrows to two lanes in either direction.
One of favorite parts of this round the US trip was visiting the beautiful Redwood National and State Parks. The towering trees left us breathless. We were fortunate the large Smith Forest Fire was still thirty miles away and did not interfere with our trip.
A fun day at the Mystery of Trees was well worth it on a very sunny and pleasant day.
